- I don't want to get the Dexter spread that plagues the other women in my family (huge rack and a caboose to match)
- I want to be the best me possible
- After so many years of going to the doctor once, twice, three times a year, I'm sick of being sick and tired
- I want to be able to fit in the slim & trim section
- I like feeling healthier
- I like being chased around the house by my husband, and knowing I worked for that "Woooooo!" I get from him when I'm scantily clad and headed for the shower
- I want to be able to get back to pre-baby weight faster after having our child
- I want to be a role model for others, proof that if my lazy butt can get off the couch and workout, they sure as hell can
That being said, the health and fitness lifestyle is not easy. You may be craving a milky way, but you eat a handful of almonds instead. Pizza? How about grilled chicken. It's all about choices, and it can be a constant battle some days. It's a fight. I heard a song today on my way to work that I'm claiming as my own. It's by Rachel Platten, and it is aptly named "Fight Song". This is what will get me through the tough days. Feel free to take it as your own, and we'll fight to be fit, healthy, and the best version of ourselves together.
So, what's your fight? What's your 'why'?
